Mahindra Satyam, a leading global consulting and IT services provider, will participate at the World Economic Forum 2012 being held at Tianjin, China (“WEF Tianjin”), between September 11 – 13, 2012 as a Strategic Partner.
The delegation will consist of Mr. S.P. Shukla, President-Group Strategy and Member of Group Executive Board, Mahindra Group, Mr. Rohit Gandhi, Senior Vice President (Asia-Pacific, India, Middle East & Africa), and Amitava Ghosh, Vice President and Head, North Asia, Mahindra Satyam.
Over 1,500 government and corporate leaders from 90 countries will discuss the theme “Creating the Future Economy” at the northeastern Chinese city. The meeting will focus on how to ensure that the right values, incentives and models are in place to deliver the best possible outcomes for global prosperity, national competitiveness and entrepreneurial growth for future generations.
This conclave is taking place amidst a confluence of major developments – uncertain recovery of the U.S economy and the Eurozone crisis, which have in turn slowed China’s growth. A key challenge lies in how manufacturing-based economies such as China pursue technological advancement and innovation more aggressively,” said Mr. Rohit Gandhi, Senior Vice President – Asia-Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa, Mahindra Satyam.
“With a focus on innovation and alternative thinking Mahindra Group is thrilled to be part of the 2012 edition of Summer Davos. We intend to drive positive change through variety of discussions with the global leaders and demonstrate how businesses can come together to create the future economy.” said Mr. S.P. Shukla, President-Group Strategy and Member of Group Executive Board for Mahindra Group.
Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra (both part of the Mahindra Group are finalizing a corporate merger) have two Global Delivery Centres in Shanghai & Nanjing. Mahindra Satyam had set up operations in China in 2002, among the first of the Indian IT majors to do so.
