Mahindra Satyam, a leading global consulting and IT services provider, today announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Petroleum & Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun, India. The MoU aims at facilitating joint research and development projects and consultancies for mutual benefit.
This agreement will help the students and faculty of Engineering Disciplines of UPES to gain industrial exposure and acquire practical competencies through trainings from Mahindra Satyam’s experts. In turn, UPES will design Certificate programs and conduct training sessions for the engineers at Mahindra Satyam.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr B.K. Mishra, Senior Vice President and Business Head – Energy and Utilities, Mahindra Satyam, said “Mahindra Satyam was one of the first organizations to be associated with UPES. This MoU strengthens our partnership and focus on providing cutting edge solutions to the Energy and Utilities sector.”
This agreement will further add impetus to UPES’s endeavor to deeply connect with industry to design courses that are in complete alignment with industry, and develop functionally literate industry ready students.
At the signing ceremony, Dr. Parag Diwan, Vice Chancellor, UPES, said “The agreement will provide opportunity to avail academic benefits for students, especially from Energy disciplines and also to faculty by encouraging industry interaction. The agreement will enable both the organizations to exchange skill-sets enhancing & strengthening their resources through mutual exposure.”
The signed MoUs were exchanged in the presence of Ms.. Indira Suresh, Asst. Vice President – Oil and Gas Solutions and PreSales, Energy & Utilities Business Unit, Mahindra Satyam and Mr.. Utpal Ghosh, Pro Vice Chancellor, UPES.
