Qualcomm Incorporated (NASDAQ: QCOM) today announced that its subsidiary, Qualcomm Life, Inc., is collaborating with new technology partners and customers who are leveraging the 2net™ Platform and Hub to enable wireless connectivity of medical devices and applications so that biometric information is easily accessible to device users, their healthcare providers and caregivers. The Company also announced that its 2net Platform and Hub, which are already available in the U.S. and Europe, are also now available in Canada. The announcement was made at the 2012 mHealth Summit being held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Washington, D.C., December 3-5.

The latest companies to join the 2net Ecosystem, comprised of nearly 180 technology partners and customers, are: Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), HealthyCircles™, Valued Relationships Inc. (VRI), Tri-City Medical Center (TCMC), ActiveCare and MD Revolution.
Ingram Micro, the world’s largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions, is simplifying the deployment and use of mobile health technologies by delivering device aggregation and activation services that pair various wireless medical devices with a single 2net Hub. Ingram Micro’s knowledge and expertise in logistics and distribution will also enable the 2net Ecosystem collaborators to achieve scale quickly and efficiently.

ActiveCare, a leading provider of remote health solutions to employers and their health plans, is leveraging the 2net Platform and Hub to quickly capture and analyze patient data.
Also, the 2net Platform will help enable MD Revolution’s SaaS solution, RevUp, a scalable wellness solution for corporations and physician practices that aggregates genetic and health data with mobile device data, automates the diagnostic process and provides an individual with a personalized treatment and wellness plan.
