Spice Global, a US$ 2 billion diversified conglomerate, today announced the appointment of Ozi Amanat as its Chief Investment Officer (CIO).
Among the various businesses under the Spice Global umbrella, prominent ones include Si2i Mobility (holding co. of Si2i Limited and S-Mobility Limited), Spice Studios, Wall Street Finance Limited and Paper Plus. The Group has also recently forayed into healthcare services and will soon launch its first world class facility at New Delhi in India.
The appointment of Ozi Amanat is in line with the Group’s strategy to maximize shareholder value and diversify into emerging areas of business. In his new role, Amanat will be responsible for devising strategies for growth through new businesses, managing and monitoring Group’s portfolio of assets and acting as the liaison between the investors and Group and streamlining risk management. In addition, he will also be a member of the family board.

Prior to his new role, Mr Amanat served as Managing Director and CIO of a multi-billion dollar family office in New York City. He has also served as a Director at Oppenheimer and Co. Inc, a leading asset management and financial advisory service firm. He was on the board of Mount Sinai Hospital Department of Medicine and continues to be on the Board of Directors of Seeds of Peace, a non-profit conflict transformation organisation.
A graduate from Harvard University, Mr Amanat has also been a member of the Synergos Global Philanthropist Circle. He and his wife, Asema Ali Ahmed (granddaughter of ex-Indian President Late Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed), received the Seeds of Peace‘s Young Peacemaker Award for their outstanding philanthropic work in 2010.
