MediaTek Inc., a leading fabless semiconductor company for wireless communications and digital multimedia solutions, has been conferred theVoice&Data Telecom Leadership Award in the ‘Chipset Company of the Year 2012 for Feature Phones’ category, for its leading market position in the segment. The award was presented to MediaTek by Mr. Sanjay Kapoor, CEO, Bharti Airtel and Mr. Pradeep Gupta, CMD, CyberMedia at the Telecom Leadership Forum 2012 organized by Voice&Data in New Delhi.
Anku Jain, Senior Director of Engineering & Deputy General Manager, MediaTek India received the ‘Chipset Company of the Year 2012 (Feature Phones)’ award at the event. The TLF Award Jury was chaired by Mr. Sanjeev Aga (ex MD, Idea Cellular, and winner, Telecom Person of the Year Award 2011), and included Mr. Pradeep Gupta, CMD, CyberMedia, Mr. RK Upadhyay, CMD, BSNL, Mr. Rajan Mathews, Director General, COAI, Mr. Rajesh Agarwal, MD, Micromax, Mr. Fredrik Jejdling, MD, Ericsson India, Mr. Vijayshekhar Sharma, MD, One97 Communications, Mr PK Roy, Editorial Advisor, CyberMedia, and Mr. Jagannadham Thunuguntla, Head of Research, SMC Capitals.
