Airtel, after launching 3G services in Delhi & Mumbai, went through a re-branding exercise and unveiled a new logo with the Dil jo chahe paas laye campaign in November last year. Rather than give a name to the logo, airtel asked 150 million plus customers across the length and breadth of the country to participate in The Name Game and stand a chance to name the logo. In line with the new campaign, airtel said they would help the winner of The Name Game come closer to their dreams.
A whopping 1,47,450 participants submitted their suggestions and dreams over a period of 2 months. Taking crowd-sourcing a step further, airtel shortlisted 3 entries and put it up for a public vote. The entry garnering the maximum number of votes will be declared the winner. Not to leave the voters out of the game, airtel will give 5 lucky voters a Samsung Galaxy Tab each!
