Mobile tariff market update: Best Mobile Tariffs– First Week of May-10!

I have been updating readers on updated mobile tariffs in Indian Telecom Market since last one month and I hope you must be finding it quite useful too. Today, I would like to go one step ahead and share more advanced feature of mobile tariffs alerts. This feature is snapshot of best mobile prepaid/postpaid tariffs launched in a week’s time. I call it as ‘Best Tariff Alerts of the Week’.

This week Rcom has launched ‘Simply Reliance Unlimited Calling Plans’ and analysis of this plan has been covered by fellow blogger at Convergence India. I remember one such plan launched by Rcom earlier where Rcom subscribers used to get unlimited calls between their numbers at cost of 499 INR (STD). This plan was a hit, but I guess soon Rcom has realized the fallacies of such plan and later winded up the scheme altogether. This ‘Simply Reliance Unlimited’ Plan looks like a costlier version of earlier plan, where in STD pack user has to pay 599 INR to avail 30 min of daily calling free to any Rcom’s number.   Same is true to local plan scheme.

Another interesting tariff pack launched by STel, India, which is dubbed as ‘Seconds plan’. Under this plan subscriber can make avail 6060 sec (i.e. 101 min) of local & STD call minutes free, with 15 days validity, at cost of 49 INR.

I have already talked about Uninor’s 24×7 Badalta Plan, which is the first Location Based Tariff Plan launched in India. Then Vodafone’s daily GPRS Pack of 11 INR and BSNL’s promotional offer for Anant subscribers are some other noteworthy plans.

Your feedbacks are most welcome!
